Coach Drivers – Ringmer Depot

We’re recruiting casual, part-time and full-time Coach Drivers to support our expanding coaching operation based at Ringmer.

No two days are the same. Our work includes:

• School and college transport

• Business and corporate travel

• Rail replacement services (enhanced rates)

• Private hire and special events

• UK tours, including occasional nights away

• Exciting new contracts and adventures throughout the year

This is a varied and rewarding role, offering flexibility and the opportunity to drive a modern fleet while delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver a professional, friendly and safe service to every customer.

• Operate a variety of coach services including schools, private hire, tours and corporate work.

• Complete daily vehicle safety inspections in accordance with Company procedures and Department for Transport requirements.

• Ensure vehicles are checked for lost property after every duty.

• Support additional commercial work including football park & ride operations and rail replacement services.

• Maintain the highest standards of customer care, professionalism and presentation.

What You’ll Need

• A valid UK PCV (Category D) licence with no more than six penalty points.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• The ability to work independently and manage your own time.

• Good geographical knowledge of Sussex.

• Confidence navigating using maps and route information.

• A Digital Tachograph Card (preferred but not essential).

• Flexibility to undertake different duties, including weekends, bank holidays and occasional nights away.

An Enhanced DBS Check will be required for this role.

FlixBus Coach Drivers – Ringmer Depot

Spirit of Sussex is continuing to grow its long-distance express coach operation in partnership with FlixBus and is recruiting professional PCV Coach Drivers to join our dedicated team.

Working on a 4 days on / 4 days off rotating rota, this role offers an excellent work-life balance, predictable shift patterns and the opportunity to drive modern coaches on scheduled express services across the UK.

You’ll represent both Spirit of Sussex and FlixBus, delivering safe, reliable and professional journeys while working within a supportive operation backed by the Go-Ahead Group.
